Studio Brushes
Frequently Asked Questions
What program do you use to create brushes?
I use Photoshop 5.5 and Photoshop 7 to create all the brushes you see on this site.
Do these brushes work for other versions?
The PS5.5 brushes will work with 5.5 and anything above that. The PS7 brushes are the same way, they will work with version 7 and all versions above it.
Can these brushes be used in other programs?
From what I've been told they can work in PaintShop Pro by changing the extention from .abr to .jbr in your brushes folder. Just right click and choose rename. For other programs, I'm not sure for now.
How do I install the Brushes?
You can save the brushes into any folder you like, but if you just downloaded them and don't know where they went you can go search for them. For photoshop, the brushes are usually downloaded into the Brushes folder. "program files > adobe > photoshop > goodies > brushes" Then load the brushes through your Photoshop program.
How do I make my own brushes?
Maybe in the near future I will create a tutorial, but for now visit this site: Jen's Tutorial.
Will you make me a set of my own brushes?
I will! They won't be all for you though, I will post the brushes on this site. It's more like a request. If you would like to request that I make a certain set of brushes, email me and we'll talk. I'm under no obligations to actually make the brush set, but I will try if I have time.
Who made this website?
I did. My name is Nikki Jeske and if you wish to learn more about me, please visit my domain, amadaun.net. I like the company. You can email me or visit my website for more ways to contact me.
I like the design. Can I use it on my own site?
No. This design was made specifically for Studio Brushes by myself. It is not up for free grabs. If you do not want to make your own design, there are many places on the web that will do it for you.
Can I use the brushes on artwork that I'm selling?
This one is a toughy. It's usually a no, but in the past I have made exceptions. Please email me and we will talk about it and I'll give you my final answer there.
If you have a question that isn't up here, then email me using the form in the Contact page or by sending me an email.
